Volunteers & Visitors – Henderson County Schools
Volunteers play an essential role in Henderson County Schools. Their guidance and involvement support students’ academic, social, and personal success, while also helping staff manage the many needs within our schools.
Starting in April 2026, volunteers will no longer be required to pay for the background checks, as Henderson County Schools will cover this cost.
Please note that certain volunteer roles—including coaches, overnight field trip chaperones, and classroom observers—may require more extensive background check procedures.

All visitors must:

A visitor is anyone who:
Has lunch with their child
Attends a meeting with a teacher or principal
Participates as a guest speaker
